Golf now is as well known for the excitement it generates as for the accessories that are turning into style statements themselves. A golfer has lot to choose from – little novelty toys to sophisticated organizational tools, which may range from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. These can be found in many places including in stores and on the Internet.

You can probably find suitable accessories for every aspect of the game. For example, there is a huge variety of golf clubs from various brands. Again, the golf clubs require various accessories for cleaning, protection or for enhancing them. Some of these accessories include cleaning kits, club grips and also protective covers for the club heads. You can find head covers to suit your taste. If you prefer something stylish, you may get ones that can be labeled with your family crest or even a monogram. On the other hand, if you prefer a causal look, you can get one with animal shapes or just plain shapes. There are a large number of golf club grips as well for you to make your choice. There are standard universal grips but one can get customized golf grips as well.

Similarly, all golf balls and tees may look the same to you. However, if you look carefully, you will be surprised at the amazing variety in them as well. You can pick up a bag full of absolutely generic tees without giving it a second thought or you could invest in some fancy personalized tees, which can be made in any color that you like. Though traditionally, one always went in for wooden tees, you can now get rubber or brush tees which are claimed to possess more accuracy and are supposed to last longer than the traditional ones. Similarly, golf balls also come in various colors and various brands claim that theirs is more accurate than the others.

A sunglass is very much a part of a golfer’s personality. You can choose between sunglasses or caps or visors or combinations of both. If you live and play in a sunny climate, you will certainly need one on you all the time. Even otherwise, one is hard pressed to find a golfer without at least a golfing cap on. It may be helpful to pick up one of those wrap-around sunglasses that come with special lenses that protect against harmful UV radiation. Of course, one should be careful that these sunglasses have a clear view of the ball and the course. An umbrella is another useful accessory that you may find many carrying around since it provides protection against both the sun and the rain.

Golf towels are another essential part of golfers’ equipment. In fact, many golfers have their ‘lucky’ towels with them for years together. Towels of course, have their utility value but more importantly it allows many to personalize some aspects of their game by having their names or company names on them.
Some of the other miscellaneous golf accessories include ball cleaners, ball retrievers and other maintenance products that go a long way in keeping you golfing equipment in shape for years to come.

As we mentioned earlier, golf accessories can be found in any professional golf shop at any course. However, you can also take a look at some of the online golf shops that offer better varieties, state-of-the-art brands and great bargains.

Taylor Made’s drivers, hybrids, and fairway woods are used by more professionals than any other brand

Taylor Made Golf is one of the largest companies that manufacturers golf club, balls, and accessories for the serious golfer. Founded in 1979 by Gary Adams, an entrepreneur who also started Founders Club and McHenry metals, Taylor Made has grown into a name synonymous with golf greatness.

While working as a salesman for Witteck Golf, Adams noticed that the new two piece balls performed better on irons than on true woods. This led him to develop the Taylor Made metal wood. The driver caught on quickly and Taylor Made has been a leader in hollow metal woods ever since.

Taylor Made continues to make innovations in the area of golf club design. They have come out with new hybrid golf clubs that are lighter and easier to swing. The drivers that Taylor Made produces are made of materials that make them easier to hit and as the club faces get larger and larger, Taylor Made has also joined in on the craze.

Many golfers, amateurs and professionals alike, swear by Taylor Made clubs. Their constantly improving design and performance have made them favorites on the pro circuit. Golfers are finding that they can get some real distance with Taylor Made drivers and their irons perform very well too.

Besides some of the greatest golf clubs in the world, Taylor Made also manufactures its own line of golf balls as well as producing Maxfli golf balls. Their two-piece balls come in a variety of specialized weights and compressions which can help you hit the ball farther and with more accuracy. Of course, that does depend somewhat on your swing as well!

Recently, Taylor Made acquired the Adidas corporation and are now adding golf shoes to their lineup of products. Their bags are durable and are a favorite among many golfers today. The present company is known as Taylor Made-Adidas Golf.

If you want to own a set of Taylor Made golf clubs, be prepared to pay quite a price for them – especially if you are buying them new. But know that you are making an investment in your golf game and will be paying for quality clubs that can last you for a very, very long time.

Taylor Made’s drivers, hybrids, and fairway woods are used by more professionals than any other brand. There’s a reason why the pros choose Taylor Made for their club selections.

If you happen to be a senior golf player then you might enjoy a few toys that just help enhance the game a little more. Golf Cow Online has some great gifts and accessories to give that special golf or just buy the things yourself. The first thing on your list might be the Skycaddie. This is a handy gadget that will tell you were the bunkers are located and some other areas of the course to avoid. This handy rangefinder is something that will have you playing like a pro in no time. It is approved by the USGA and the R&A.

Senior golf enthusiasts will want a Speed cart to make things easier on those walk only golf courses. Since you cannot have a golf cart, the motorized Speed Cart starts up and away it goes. You can set it to go by itself for up to sixty yards without you behind it to control the buttons. You can sue it as a manual cart or as a self-powered cart that will make your day even more enjoyable. Save your energy for the golf swing, let the Speed Cart do all the heavy work. You will never need a caddie again.

If you have a few problems finding the golf ball, you might like the Ball Finder Scout. It can help you find them hard to balls that seem to disappear out of sight when you least expect it to. Never worry about losing sight of another ball. If you happen to hit the ball in water or into a wooded area, the little gadget might not work, but if the ball is even one to two percent visible, it should find the golf ball. For a senior golf player this might come in handy.

Another little compact gadget for the senior golf player is the Zelocity Pure Contact Launch and Flight Monitor. How it works is amazing, how to use it is easy. This is something that can help you improve your swing for distance and tells you how you hit with the club you are using. This is nice for making over that bunker coming around. If you know how many yards you get with that one club, you can accurately choose the right club for that specific shot. This works great for conditioning yourself and teaches you how your swing is decreasing or improving as well.

As a senior golf player, you might also want some little gadgets that have your name on them, such as golf tees, spot markers, golf balls and a hand towel with your name or initial. There are so many different accessories that can help enhance your game and some that just make you feel good about yourself. It is every golfers desire to hit the ball and play like a pro and with some help you can accomplish everything you want to as a senior golf player. Golfing is fun and some minor accessories only enhance the game you might say.

Your golf clubs can really make a difference in how well you play the game of golf. New advancements in golf club technologies make lighter, bigger, and better golf clubs available to the experienced as well as inexperienced golfer. How do you know what to look for in golf clubs?

For the novice golfer, the basic set of golf clubs consists of drivers, wedges, putters and irons. Using the proper type of golf club will help the beginner learn quickly and achieve results. Each different type of club is designed to help with swing speed and to correct faults to improve your game – and your score.

You must take into consideration the style, size, and type of material used to make the golf club shaft. One of the less expensive materials is steel. Golf clubs with a steel shaft weigh more but can be longer-lasting than other types. The steel shaft may also give you more control over those fast swings. If you choose a graphite shaft, it will be lighter than steel but will be more costly. This type of club is used for long distance shots or for slower swingers. Most golf clubs are available with both steel and graphite shafts.

Keep in mind that graphite shafts will not only be lighter and easier to handle, they will also be more forgiving if you have a bad shot. They absorb vibration and allow for a much better feeling shot. Plus, you will pick up some distance because the speed of the swing will be greater due to the lighter materials.

The flexibility of a shaft is referred to as flex, or bend. The less the bend in a shaft, the more control the powerful swinger will have. On the other hand, beginners and those with less powerful swings generally use a shaft with greater flexibility. The average swing speed is from 65 miles per hour for the beginner up to over 100 miles per hour for powerful swingers.

When it comes to selecting a golf club driver, especially as a beginner, you will probably want one with a head made out of titanium. Titanium is stronger, denser, and lighter than steel so the club head can be made larger with the same amount of materials. The advantage to having a large head driver is there is a larger “sweet spot” giving you more area to hit the ball with. With this type of golf club head, the club will be much more forgiving if you miss hit the ball or have a bad shot.

The goal when buying golf clubs should be to own the best golf clubs you can afford, whether they are name brands, used, or a reproduction of one of the name brands.

When it comes to golf apparel, you really have many choices available. What to wear isn’t always first on the golfer’s mind, but choosing the right golf apparel can make a difference in playing well and playing not so well. It’s true!

Many golf clubs have rules as to what golf apparel is acceptable on their course. This usually means no tank tops or short shorts, all players must wear shirts with collars, and no jeans are allowed. Other courses are less restrictive in their clothing and you can choose what you want to wear as long as it is tasteful.

Generally male golfers will wear khaki pants and a collared polo shirt. In warm weather, fitted shorts are generally permitted as part of the golf apparel. Most men will also opt for a hat to keep the sun out of their eyes.

Golf apparel for women, however, can run the gamut. Golf skirts are very popular for female golfers because they are less restrictive, but others opt for shorts or loose pants. Polo shirts are also worn by women – some sleeveless polos are also allowed on upscale courses. Women tend to opt for visors to keep the sun away although hats are another option.

When choosing your golf apparel, you should take care that the clothing is not too restrictive. You will want plenty of room to move around because your golf swing depends on your body moving in a fluid, smooth motion. There’s nothing worse than clothing that is too tight – especially on the golf course.

When choosing pants or shorts, it’s convenient to have pockets. Many golfers like to have pockets so they can carry golf tees, divot fixers, ball markers, and even extra balls, although we don’t recommend the latter as it can throw off your swing quite a bit.

You will want to choose clothes that are made of lightweight, breathable fabrics – especially if you golf primarily in cold weather. Many manufacturers of golf apparel know this and keep it mind during production, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find clothing like this.

You can find adequate golf apparel in many places. Golf course pro shops will carry specific lines of golf clothing that will conform to their dress code, but they will be a bit more expensive than buying them in a store. Find a golf store and you will find a great selection of golf apparel to choose from. Finally, you can get some great deal on golf apparel on the Internet in many, many places, often at discount prices.

Golf clubs can be very expensive; so many people are starting to buy used golf clubs instead of new ones. The cost is the main reason people give for buying used golf clubs. Plus, recycling anything is good for the environment! What should you know before you buy a set of used golf clubs?

First, you need to check the club heads for face wear. Clubs that have been used for a long time might have a shiny worn spot in the center. This is not good because the club face won’t hold the ball as well as it should. Make sure the grooves still have well-defined edges and stay away from used golf clubs that show indentations in the club face as these can affect the ball flight.

Another important thing to look for in used golf clubs is the shafts. Make sure graphite shafts don’t have worn areas or indentations that could cause weakness. Twist the grip and the head in opposite directions. If there isn’t great resistance, it’s a sign of weakness in the shaft. This test is for graphite shafts. ith steel shafts, just look down the shaft to make sure it hasn’t been bent back into shape.

You will also need to make sure the grips in used golf clubs are good. You will be looking for cracks, splits, and worn areas. You can re-grip used golf clubs, but this will run between $6 and $15 per club adding to your cost.

Does the set have consistency? Line them up and compare them. Make sure they all appear to have been in the original set. You don’t want a set of used golf clubs with different shaft types or model from club to club. Mixing and matching can throw off the progression of lofts throughout the set.

Compare prices for new clubs versus what you will be paying for your used clubs. Sometimes you can get a new set for less than what the used set is selling for. You can also find some great discounts at golf stores, so don’t jump in too quickly to buy your used golf club.

You can’t really tell how well a set of used golf clubs will perform unless you are able to test drive them. Find a place to take a few test swings and see how they feel to you.

Buying a set of used golf clubs is a great way to save some money on one of the most expensive parts of the golf game. However, be careful and know what you are doing before you buy. It can make a world of difference!

The Callaway Golf Company is one of the world’s best known brands of premium golf equipment. Callaway manufactures various golf club including woods, irons, wedges, and putters. They also produce golf balls and licenses its name for apparel, footwear, and accessories. Callaway Golf also owns and manufactures products under the Odyssey putter brand as well as Top-Flite and Ben Hogan brands.
The company first made its name building clubs that were friendly and forgiving for amateur golfers, but became famous for its success among notable professionals and endorsers that include Phil Mickelson, Rocco Mediate, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Johnny Miller.

Callaway Golf is perhaps best known for its Big Bertha drivers, the industry’s first wide body, stainless steel wood and the club that launched the company to iconic status among pro and amateur golfers. The Big Bertha would put Callaway golf into the forefront of golfer’s minds as they realized that “Bertha” would help them with long drives beyond their own expectations.

The company was founded in 1982 by former Burlington Industries textile president Ely Callaway. A dynamic leader and famously successful businessman, Mr. Callaway sold his Temecula, CA-based winery for a nice profit and was enjoying a brief retirement before adding club maker to his resume.

Never one to sit idle, he was playing plenty of golf and was on the lookout for new business opportunities when he spotted a wooden pitching wedge in a Palm Springs-area golf shop. The club was reminiscent of the hickory-shafted clubs he had used as a child, but this shaft was hollowed and filled with a steel core for consistency and strength. He bought half of Hickory Stick USA and renamed it the Callaway Hickory Stick USA.

Mr. Callaway was well known for thinking big, and he did this a lot when forming and growing his company. Today, the company continues to develop and manufacture technologically advanced golf equipment, including its line of two- and three-piece golf balls, as well as its Fusion FT-3 Driver, which combines titanium and carbon composite materials and allows golfers to choose internal weighting options that can counteract a slice or hook or enhance a draw or fade.

Callaway is preparing to release their latest driver the, F-Ti – a new technology in drivers with a square head. Phil Mickelson used two versions of the driver – a draw and a fade – in his 2006 Masters victory. Swedish sensation Annika Sorenstam, who has used and endorsed Callaway Golf equipment for her entire pro career, became the only woman to shoot 59 in competition in 2001 and in 2006 used the FT-3 Driver to earn her 10th major championship victory.

The hybrid golf club is also referred to as a utility club and is a relatively recent addition to the variety of golf clubs golfers can choose from. They are growing in popularity because they are designed to be easier to hit for recreational golfers. In fact, they are easier to hit for all golfers and most touring pros now carry hybrid golf clubs in their bags.

Hybrid golf clubs are a category of club that combines elements of both woods and irons into their design. This combination adds up to having technical features that aid in getting the ball airborne, that dampen the effects of miss hits, and many other pluses.

Most hybrid golf clubs are designed to replace long irons (2, 3, 4, and sometimes 5 irons) in a golfer’s bag. When you hear it said that hybrid golf clubs are easier to hit, this is almost always meant in comparison to the long irons that these hybrids replace.

So why are hybrid golf clubs advantageous over regular irons?

A normal iron doesn’t have much of a back on it. You can make an iron that has perimeter weighting but you can’t have it further back unless it has a bigger back side. You can’t move much weight back into the air? Therefore, to make an iron easier to hit manufacturers have started to “fatten” the back of them. So hybrid golf clubs that look more like an iron have what seems to be a bulge on back of them. This is just moving the weight further back on the iron. Now they can have weight along the outside of the club and further back.

On the other hand, manufacturers who have made their Hybrid Golf Clubs look more like a fairway wood have been able to move the weight back a little more since the club is larger. Not large enough to be the size of a harder to hit fairway wood but large enough to do the trick.

Hybrid golf clubs also have a lower center of gravity. If you move the center of gravity down then the ball gets up in the air easier. It helps increase the launch angle of the ball without having to increase the actual loft of the club. This may not be visible but the result is.

If you have a three iron that is 20 degrees and a hybrid golf club that is the same loft, but has the weight further back (perimeter weighted) and the center of gravity lower then the club will launch the ball higher. That is why it is important to realize that when making a purchase of a hybrid golf club that the lofts are not directly comparable to the club you are replacing.

There are some players who swear by hybrid golf clubs and others who think they are just junk. But the simple fact is that a hybrid golf club is easier to get into the air, down the fairway and onto the green

The PowaKaddy Company is the world’s leading manufacturer of powered golf carts. All carts made by PowaKaddy are designed by golfers for golfers. That means you are getting a cart that will meet your needs because the advice from avid golfers goes into the design of every single cart. It’s best to have a product designed by people who use that product. PowaKaddy knows this all too well.

PowaKaddy golf carts are pull carts on which you put your club so you can easily walk your round of golf. Most are run by small batteries that are on the cart. Here are some of their products along with a brief description of each:

* Freeway Titanium Compact and All-Terrain – These carts break down for easy transportation. In just two simple clicks, it opens and closes making these carts very easy to use. PowaKaddy has made these carts from an AMST alloy chassis which makes them light and strong. These are their best selling power carts. The compact version is easily transportable, and the all-terrain version is designed for rugged, hilly courses.
* Freeway Titanium Sport – This cart is similar to the Compact, but PowaKaddy has added some touches of refinement. The chassis is also made with AMST alloy steel, but it also has low profile sport wheels and a nearly noiseless engine. It also has an Electronic Distance Function which will automatically drive your cart forward.
* Robokaddy – This cart is touted as the neatest, lightest powered cart that obeys your every command by remote control. You direct operations via a small pocket sized transmitter. The motors are very quiet and it easily folds up for convenient transportation and storage.
* Classic Legend – This new cart combines all the best features of the Classic with the PowaKaddy Freeway. It has a removable handle, and is made with AMST steel just like the other PowaKaddy carts.

PowaKaddy also sells state-of-the-art regular pull carts for golfers who don’t mind providing their own power to transport their clubs. Their extensive line of golf bags fit perfectly on any of their carts as well as any other pull cart. PowaKaddy provides a large line of golf accessories as well for golfers to choose from.

This amazing company has great products for the avid golfer. If you’ve never considered the possibility of a motorized pull golf cart, go to the PowaKaddy website and find out everything you need to know about these exciting new innovations!
